Teacher Recognition & Professional Development Opportunities
Teacher Recognition Ceremony
JESNA, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the Steinhardt Foundation for Jewish Life
encourage the recognition of all teachers in each community. It is a meaningful
experience for teachers to be recognized by the parents, students and community
members who know firsthand their important contributions to the community. We
encourage you to plan a teacher recognition ceremony not just for your Grinspoon-Steinhardt
Award winner, but for all Jewish educators in your community.

National Awards Seminar
The Awards Seminar is the culminating event for the Awards Winners. This Seminar is a celebration of the Awards Winners’ accomplishments as well as an opportunity for the Awards Winners from all communities to meet each other and truly understand that they are part of a comprehensive Awards Program. It is also an opportunity for national and local Jewish leadership from across North America to honor the Awards Winners and their achievements in a public manner. It is our hope that by publicly recognizing local Jewish educators, we will make a further statement about the need to meaningfully recognize and commit communal resources to the people at the core of our educational system thereby moving closer to achieving our ultimate goal of raising the status of Jewish education.

Professional Development Opportunities
In addition to national recognition and a $1000 cash prize, Grinspoon-Steinhardt Awards Winners will receive $1500 stipends, distributed through their local agency. These stipends provide Awards Winners with the opportunity to advance their skill sets through many exciting and diverse options.
